Job Title: Carpenter

A Carpenter performs any of the following duties on  construction projects, sometimes working in a utility capacity, by transferring from one job to another where labor demands are required. In addition, carpenters are asked to spend a significant amount of time working in a laborer capacity as well.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Construct formwork into which concrete is poured
  • Set an outline of the structure on the ground of the site using string and pegs to allow for excavations
  • Have good working knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Read plans and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions, and installation processes
  • Cut materials with hand and power tools, assemble and nail, cut and shape items
  • Will assist other workers in various labor-based tasks. This will require lifting (heavy at times)
  • Working at significant heights
  • Must have knowledge of all hand tools and how to operate them efficiently
  • Other misc. duties as directed by your supervisor
  • Know Company safety policies and adhere to them while working at all times

 

Job Requirements:

  • Eligible to work in the United States- we E-verify!
  • Over 18 years of age
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Complete and pass pre-employment testing, including a urine drug screen and physical capacity test
  • Ability to reach and grip constantly
  • Ability to stoop and kneel frequently
  • Ability to lift 0-25 pounds constantly
  • Ability to lift 25-75 pounds frequently
  • Ability to life 75+ pounds occasionally
  • Constant exposure to weather
  • Frequent exposure to dust/fumes
  • Constant time spent working on your feet
  • Occasional use of vibratory tools
  • Occasional work above and below ground
  • Must be able to provide own hand tools (adequate hammer, tape measure, pliers, square, level, chalk line, tool belt)
  • Must wear a hard hat, safety glasses and leather hard-soled work boot at all times when on the job-site
